ggnstudio was founded by Creative Directors Will Innes Smith and Adam Wells and Head of Design Nick Tarte.
Main Titles
Our experience producing award-winning title sequences spans two decade, covering a wide range of programming genres. These include iconic Live Action / VFX sequences, such as The Lions Tour of New Zealand, which collected an RTS Award and BAFTA nomination, Creative Direction for Sky Sports Premier League, CG / Post Production solutions (Monday Night Football / The Ashes / Super League) and design-driven openers for Red Bull, BT Sport Films, Sky Cinema and Premiership Rugby.
Broadcast Design
The spine of ggnstudio has developed branding and creative for a number of Europe’s largest broadcasters, crafting Housestyle, Programme Packaging and Brand Identity recognised around the world.
Our success in this area of design stems from our collective understanding of a brand’s identity and integrity, alongside the nuts-and-bolts experience required to take a creative through to transmission.
Animation
At ggnstudio our broad range of work encompasses a spectrum of creative projects, requiring a variety of animation approaches.
Beyond our in-house 2D and 3D partnerships, we have established relationships with leading animation and post production companies in London. These long-standing associations, built across countless joint projects, provide an extension to our capabilities on a project to project basis.
Channel Idents
A critical branding element for all broadcast and online channels, the team have written creative, designed or directed an extensive array of channel idents and OSP packages, including ice-cold, sharp edges for Red Bull; explosions of colour for Sky Arts; wild, animated graphics for music channel The Amp; a seamless 360 journey through a spectrum of film genres for Sky Movies and an array of high-speed, fan reactions for Sky Sports.
Sponsorship
Whether it's a compact collection of big-budget Live-Action / VFX spots for Ford's sponsorship of the Premier League, a high volume of graphic / VT-based idents for Irn Bru, Intel or Barrs, or full CG sponsorship for Tiger Beer, our team understand the unique challenge of creating a bold, distinct family of sponsorship spots to align with the essence of a brand's associated programming.
Promos
We have an established grounding in creating award-winning graphic and live-action Promos in all shapes and sizes - typographic and illustrative solutions, VT treatments and CG / Live Action films for clients including A+E Networks, Channel 5, Sky Sports, Now TV, History Channel, Lifetime and Sky Cinema.
ggnstudio is an extension of established Live Action Production Company gotgotneed. Established in 2007 by ggnstudio's Creative Directors, gotgotneed produced and / or directed TV Commercials, Titles, Idents and Sponsorship campaigns for commercial brands including Nike, Ford, Coca Cola, Expedia, Mercedes, Jaguar Land Rover, PlayStation and Delta Airlines and TV campaigns for Sky, BT Sport, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
